Is It Time to Revisit Your Malpractice Coverage?

When you first purchase a dental malpractice policy, there are often discounts included in your premium, especially if you recently graduated dental school or are new to practice. Over the next few years, you may notice your premium increase as some of those discounts start to fall off. Eventually, your premium will typically level out.
While these increases are normal, your renewal is also a good time to make sure your current policy still makes sense for you. That's where our annual review and remarketing process comes in.
Why We Reach Out Each Year
Each year before your policy renews, our team will reach out to see if anything has changed with your practice. We want to make sure your policy accurately reflects what you're currently doing and that we have the most up-to-date information.
Some changes we want to know about include:
- Changing your primary practice location
- Moving to or practicing in another state
- Switching between full-time and part-time work
- Starting to perform new procedures or no longer performing certain procedures
- Any claims, lawsuits, or board matters
You also don't have to wait until your renewal to let us know about a change. If something changes during the year, reach out to us so we can make sure your policy is updated accordingly.
Want to See What Else Is Out There?
Even if you haven't had any changes, you may just want to see if there is a better option available. If your premium has gone up over the years, or you're simply curious about what other carriers may offer, we can shop the market for you.
We'll have you complete our malpractice intake form, which gives our team the information we need to run quotes based on your current practice. Once we receive the form, someone from our team will compare your options and reach out if we find something that may be a better fit.
Since we are a brokerage, we work with multiple malpractice insurance companies. This gives us the ability to look at different carriers to find an option that fits your needs and, in some cases, may even beat your current pricing.
What If We Find a Better Option?
If we find an option that makes sense for you, we'll go over it with you so you can decide if making a change is worthwhile. It's not always about finding the cheapest policy. We also want to make sure the coverage fits your specific needs.
If you decide you'd like to move forward, we'll loop you in with your agent and our dental malpractice team. From there, we'll help you make the switch and coordinate canceling your current coverage so the process is as easy as possible.
The point of remarketing isn't to switch your malpractice policy every year. It's simply to make sure you know what your options are and that your current coverage and pricing still make sense for you.
Your practice can change from year to year, and we're here to make sure your malpractice coverage keeps up with it.
Ready to Review Your Coverage?
